Mai Joshin – Art & Healing Residency

A Sacred Encounter Between Contemporary Art and Amazonian Wisdom

The Ayahuasca Perú Healing Center has over 16 years of experience in spiritual healing and ancestral medicine. For the past 9 years, all programs have been led by indigenous women shamans, preserving and sharing the Asháninka ancestral knowledge. Founded by Peruvian filmmaker Róger Neira, the center invites national and international artists to participate in the Mai Joshin - Red Earth residency, a space where art, healing, and ancestral wisdom converge.

VIP & Private Experience

For those seeking complete privacy, comfort, and discretion, we offer a VIP experience in an enclosed, exclusive environment. Ideal for public figures, artists, or anyone who values confidentiality, this option provides personalized attention, private accommodations, and fully immerse in the healing and artistic programs without interruption.

Vision

Mai Joshin is a sacred space where master plants, indigenous knowledge, and artistic creation intersect to inspire new ways of healing and creating in harmony with the Earth. Located in the heart of the Peruvian Amazon, the residency honors the Amazon as both a living ecosystem and a cultural and spiritual center, preserving knowledge for life in balance with nature.

Mission

The residency provides a transformative intercultural experience, connecting artists and indigenous wisdom keepers through plant medicine, ancestral memory, and artistic practice, fostering personal and collective healing. Participants create works, develop connections, and deepen their understanding of the Amazonian worldview.

Residency Experience

Participants engage in Ayahuasca and master plant ceremonies, ritual steam sessions, and micro-diets guided by indigenous shamans. Artistic exploration includes land art, painting, sculpture, performance, video, sound, and writing, integrated with Amazonian healing practices. Forest walks, meditation, and contemplative silence support reflection and connection with nature. The residency concludes with a final exhibition and ceremonial offering, honoring the community and ancestral knowledge.

Participants

This residency is for committed artists ready for deep cultural exchange and healing. Participants should be 21+, conversant in Spanish or English, and experienced in contemporary or ritual art practices.
